Keywords

Keyword research is essential to understand the referencing of your website and that of your competitors. Fortunately, you don’t need to be a SEO professional to know which keywords to use !

Keyword search tools are the best resource for SEO.

Free and paid tools :

There are so many free SEO tools that you can go through each step of the keyword search you want to target. Most SEO tools offer free and paid versions.

The free option usually has limitations, such as a certain number of keyword searches per day, the third includes more features for each tool.

SEMrush is one of the best keyword search tools. It indicates the important elements to consider when building your list of targeted keywords, such as the monthly search volume and the cost per click for each keyword. You can also read a list of keywords related to the expressions you are looking for.

How to define your keywords?

Simplify your keyword search as much as you can. Your process should be summarized in three simple steps.

A- What research do my clients do ?

The best way to conduct your keyword research is to start by putting yourself in the shoes of your potential customers. Consider what queries they put in search engines.

List their main problems and objectives, then search for keywords and phrases about them that you add to your keyword list.

B- Draw up a list of keywords

You can create content ideas based on keywords that correspond to the interests of the ideal buyer and on keywords that have a good balance between the volume of research and the level of difficulty of the ranking.

Moz Keyword Explorer is another excellent keyword search tool. They use a unique difficulty level scoring system (0 to 100) to show how difficult it is for you to get ahead of your competitors on the first page.

The priority score, also listed between 0 and 100, combines other measures (such as the natural click rate) to indicate the priority level that the keyword should have in your strategy. The higher your priority score, the closer you get to a high volume of research, an organic CTR and a low difficulty.

C- Content strategy

Finally, you can create detailed ideas for blog articles, white papers, webinars and other content that can attract and engage your target audience.

Don’t forget a targeted keyword for each content element you publish. In this way, you can optimize this content for the keyword, which gives you a better chance of ranking for this query.

Two types of keywords: long tail and short tail

Long tail keywords :

these are generally little-used words or little-known synonyms which, because of their low use by Internet users, will be less competitive: if less searches are done on these keywords, it is easier for websites to obtain a good position in search engine results.
These are expressions of at least 3/4 words, these long tail keywords attract few visitors to a website, but their cumulation can represent a significant part of a site’s total traffic. They are often used when the Internet user has a very precise idea of what they are looking for on the Internet. (e. g. portable Bluetooth speaker B
dares black New York.

Short tail keywords :

these are generally keywords of less than 3 words, they often correspond to the first words used in a long tail keyword phrase. To simplify this is the general category when an Internet user needs a search on a search engine. In addition, it should be known that they are very competitive, many users search. The volume of research is very high. (ex: Bluetooth speaker)

Bounce Rate

Bounce Rate

We are delighted to introduce this parameter as part of your project :

The Bounce Rate.

The bounce rate is a fairly important measure of traffic for any website, it is the percentage of visitors who leave the site after seeing a single page. Usually, it shows the quality of the website and how its content reacts with traffic, in other words, if visitors like a website, they will visit several pages, and the time on each page will be high.

How to determine it ?

Before setting the bounce rate, you must define it.
If you don’t know what is the best value for your website, we suggest you take the average specific to your industry or simply use your competitors’ rebound rate.

If for example you are a Bing search engine, you want the same rebound rate as Google, or slightly better, using Similarweb allows you to see what Google’s rebound rate is :

https://www.similarweb.com/website/google.com

On the link we see that Google’s rebound rate is 30%.

Many of our customers ask us “On what rebound rate to base myself” and we always recommend following the leaders in your industry and being natural, if you know a good website with similar content to yours, use Similarweb !

What is the bounce rate that corresponds to my sector of activity?

How does it work?

You can define the rebound rate for your traffic from 0% to 100%.
100% – means that all users will leave your website after only 1 page, 0% means that all users will see more than one page.

Keep in mind that any value greater than 0% decreases the number of page views you receive because some pages will not be seen by traffic.
For example, if you set the bounce rate to 50% and set only 2 pages to navigate (main click and 1st click) then half of the traffic will not see the 1st click page and you will only receive 75% of the pages viewed.

Set the bounce rate to UpSEO

Once you have set your bounce rate, it is very easy to set it to Upseo.

After adding your project by creating it, you must set it up. The second step is the bounce rate, depending on the number of visits. (see picture above) You can define the bounce rate between 1 and 100, equal to the desired percentage. The further to the right you move the cursor, the higher it will be. Put a percentage equivalent to that of your competitors.
